I’ve been checking my feedburner account for a couple days now and came across something interesting.
First let’s explain what feedburner is. Feedburner is a website that you join and point an RSS feed at. Then Feedburner basically mimics that RSS feed, and lets you do additional modification to their copy magically. This means you don’t have to learn the XML tags for RSS. I lose some geek cred by admitting this is my reason for using it, but whatever, I just wanted to get going fast. Back to the story. I was looking at this:
So as you can see the number is two. I find that deliciously funny but it was even better when I read the data. Go look for yourself… no really. I’ll wait. It’s here:

So if you looked– you don’t likely know what I found so funny, but if you examine the two; one is ipodder on Linux, and the other is Firefox’s Live bookmarks. Both of which are me. So that means… 2 divided by 1 = 1, or 2 = 1 times me minus content creator = 0 subscribers, depending on how you do the math.
Don’t worry I’ve got at least 5 times (Hail Eris!) that many subscribers according to what I can figure with my website stats, or if you feel really sad for me then use the second math formula and I have infinity times as many subscribers and that’s a lot.

Hey Daniel,
*laughs* Thanks man. This post was three days after I started last year. Feedburner says I have 50 times as many subscribers. I say I have more around 400 times as many.
