Show012: Interview with Fred Hicks
This is actually the last of my Origins interviews, but it’s the one I screwed up on the least. This means it was the easiest to edit, and I’ve got a wedding party to go to in another state this weekend.
Fred and I discuss some of Spirit of the Century’s design choices, the OGL, Evil Hat’s Character Creation manifesto, Jim Butcher, and Indie Press Revolution.

Clyde,
I just want to let you know that this particular episode was absolutely rock-solid awesome. You found the questions that somebody needed to ask Fred and you asked them! This might well be the first episode of a podcast that I’ll listen to three or four times just to be sure to catch all the great stuff. Thanks for sharing it!

Hey Mick,
Sorry for taking so long, I’ve kind of been resting after Origins and a Wedding the weekend after. I’m glad you liked this episode so much. Fred was really fun to talk to, and I realize after the fact that I didn’t ask him questions about some of the other design choices for games he’s made, or been part of making.
Hi Jeremiah,
Yes. I’ve been procrastinating. I haven’t been able to get stupid windows to work with my wireless router. I’ve gotten so far as to physically pick up my windows box and place it next to the router. All I really need to do is unplug the cat-5 cable from this computer and connect it to the windoze box, and then register the show. Soon, very soon.
