Show008: Interview with Ron Edwards

This is the last of the Forge Midwest interviews. Soon we’ll be back to listening to my short podcasts featuring only my nasal vocal tones, in stereo! Until then enjoy this interview with Ron Edwards. It’s the longest yet, and the only one where I didn’t get completely through my pitiful list of questions. We talk about White Wolf games and their effect on roleplayers looking for a specific type of game experience, the vision for the Forge, Ash Cans, and doing conventions differently.

Show007: Interview with James Brown

This week is the third interview from Forge Midwest. On deck is James Brown, creator of Brick Battles, Death’s Door, and an upcoming game Blood and Bronze. We talk mainly about his games, especially Death’s Door. I found it especially interesting to see how well all of his mechanics have been considered. We also discussed death, and the ability of roleplaying games to affect peoples lives.

There may be a bit of hiss on this and the next interview. I had the microphone levels too low so I had to amplify the sound quite a bit. Live and Learn.

Show006: Interview with Luke Crane

This is the second of the interviews I made at Forge Midwest. I interviewed Luke Crane, and we discuss his games Burning Wheel, and Burning Empires, people with silly tattoo’s, the pain of the creative process, his game Under a Serpent Sun, it’s theme of suicide, and many other things.

Also Luke states that Robin Laws game Rune will be in the show notes, and as a dutiful servant I include a link here. I’d also feel like a laggard if I didn’t include At The Gate’s website, and Chris Moeller’s, Iron Empires.

I have two more interviews coming, I’m releasing them about once a week.

Show005: Interview with Paul Czege

I went to the Forge Midwest meet up this Weekend in Chicago, Illinois. I did some interviews while I was there and this is the first of those. Paul Czege discusses many things with me from the Ashcan Front booth both he and Matt Synder are organizing for Gen Con, to inner meaning of games, and quite a few other subjects. Enjoy.
